Happy Belated Valentines Day

Happy Belated Valentines Day.

To my husband, thanks for the little things that you do to make me feel special. I found this on the table one morning waiting for me. It must have taken him a long time to do it on the Etch-a-Sketch.

Ain't he special.

My Dad and I travelled back to the "city of brotherly love" on Monday. I was due for my one year post radiation check up. Hard to believe it has been a year.

We drove for 4 hours....Waited in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours....and the doctor was in the room for 2 minutes!! He glanced at my films and reports from my recent MRI...poked at my face and said "I'll see you in a year." His words before he left the room were "That was easy." I looked for the easy button but could not find it. HaHa.

While we were in Philadelphia, we were able to reconnect with my cousin Wade, his wife Kristina, and their pooch, Shade. They were our gracious hosts during our six week stay last year.

Shade was my buddy while I was there. We went for walks together and I spent many a sleepness nights with him either at my feet or on the couch beside me. When he heard me get up, he would come down the stairs and check on me.

When we stopped in last week, he greeted us at the door. I think he remembered me too!!

Wade and Kristina opened their home and their hearts to us. Thanks guys for helping me through a very tough time. Love ya lots.

I stopped in to visit with the radiaion therapisists at Jefferson. It was great to see them again.

It takes special people to do the job that they do. Thanks guys for all that you do and for taking care of me and all of the others that you see. Your kind words and support mean more than you will ever know.

Presidents day will mark the one year anniversary of my last radiation treatment. When I think back to how sick I was during that time, I praise God for his faithfulness and for carrying me through that time.

A big thanks to my family, my friends and all of those who prayed for us, sent cards, and sent meals. Your love and support helped us to get through.

Love to all.

Happy Valentine's Day to You! So glad to hear of your good report. It's so wonderful to hear how all these people stepped out and ministered to you during this time. It seems impossible to thank them all as they deserve.. I always figure the best way to than them is to pay it forward...
