February 23rd is a very special day in our family. It is Mom's birthday.
Through the years, one thing that Mom always did on our birthday, was to always make sure she cooked our favorite meal. Even as we have gotten older, she always tries to make us something for on our birthday. (This year, we could not get together on my birthday but she made me raisin filled cookies and ham salad.)
SURPRISE!!!!!!
So, for Mom's birthday this year, my sister decided to have a surprise family dinner for Mom. We did pretty good keeping it a secret. She figured it out though, on the way to Rhonda's house.
We are not sure what Mom's favorite food is, but we know that her favorite kind of cake is a white cake, with white icing and coconut on top. So my sister made a great meal and we had, among other things, white cake, with white icing and coconut for dessert.

What a thoughtful thing for you all to do for your mother. She is very special to me as well. I think that on the way to Rhonda's she was a little suspicious. Oh for a piece of coconut cake.
