So, 2008 is off to a much better start than last year. Those of you that know me, know that last year at this time, I was undergoing radiation therapy for a benign tumor in my skull.
When I think of how sick I was at that time, I praise God for his mercy in bringing me through that time in my life. I am doing well. Back to work and back in the midst of my crazy life. I travel to Philadelphia next month for my one year check up. I am hoping for a clean bill of health and a "We'll see you in a year."
I celebrated my 38th birthday this past Tuesday and it was a great day. I went to lunch with a good friend and then spent the evening with my wonderful family. Thanks Steph and my crew for a great day.

Dear SandyK - Congratulations on entering the world of blogging. Cammy's blog was my inspiration, too! And what a ride it has been. I've learned a lot about myself along the way.
I'm honored to be included in your "Favorite Blogs"... I'll be adding you to mine, too.
And who is having a baby? Can't wait to hear about your clean bill of health... and happy belated birthday!
Blessings! Sister Sheri
Sandy-
When you "waltzed" into my house, (met by the dog) it was quite a surprise finding out we were celebrating your birthday! I had no idea, you kept it a complete secret! I am very honored to have been chosen to spend very valued and quality time with you.
We had a wonderful "girls day out", which neither of us have very often anymore. We caught up on "the happenings" and enjoy each other's company. It was fun "window shopping" at Addie's and visiting w/ Tony. Don't forget to send Mark down for your B-day present. You've earned it. Tony will have you hooked up in no time. :)
We dined at The Village Tavern and TOTALLY ruined our diets. If you've never been there, please ask Sandy about it when you come to the area. It is THE best Italian restaurant. Reservations are necessary anytime you attend. It is WONDERFUL! Make sure you check out their homemade bread and peppers. Yummy. :)
The best was arriving home to a houseful of shredded burnable papers. In our hurry to leave, I almost left in my slippers (which I remedied) but forgot to take out the garbage. My lovable dog likes to shred paper, but only the ones w/ food smells. He nicely reminded me by leaving little piles throughout the house. Thankfully, there wasn't much in the garbage bag. He was reprimanded and sent to his blanket for a "time out".
Once again, thanks for a great day, springing your birthday on me and of getting me out of my house. :)
Steph
